Who we are
GLP Limited LLC is a freight forwarder based in Newark, New Jersey, four minutes from Port Newark. We move full and part containers, air freight, domestic trucking, cars and personal effects out of the U.S. East Coast, Gulf and West Coast gateways to 120+ countries — and we file the customs paperwork ourselves rather than passing it to a third-party broker.
Most of our volume is machinery and industrial parts, automotive, aviation spares, retail consolidations and household goods. We handle hazardous cargo under IATA and IMDG rules, oversized and out-of-gauge pieces, and temperature-controlled loads. Storage, palletising and transloading happen in our own Newark facility, so a shipment does not change hands between three vendors before it sails.
The practical difference is who you talk to: one coordinator owns your file from quote to delivery, on every service we sell, to every destination we serve. Not a shared inbox, not a call centre queue.
How we work
A four-hour quote window exists because someone checks the carrier space, the accessorials and the destination charges before sending a number. Ten-minute quotes are guesses that get revised after you have committed.
What it means for you: The figure you approve is the figure you are invoiced.
Growing headcount faster than we can train coordinators is how files start getting dropped between shifts. We take the volume our team can own, and we say no to the rest.
What it means for you: One named coordinator per file, reachable directly — not a ticket queue.
Subcontracting the brokerage is cheaper for us and slower for you: every question about your paperwork becomes an email to a third party. We file it ourselves and answer for it ourselves.
What it means for you: One party is accountable when a document is wrong — us.
When a vessel rolls or a document is missing, you hear it the same day, with the options and their costs. Silence until the situation resolves itself is easier to sell and impossible to plan around.

All-risk door-to-door cover arranged with the quote, underwritten by a rated insurer. Declared value is set per shipment, not by a blanket limit.
